“The world is a book, and those who do not travel read only a page.” – Saint Augustine
Three weeks and eight cities later, we’ve arrived at the end. I look back on this trip with the fondest of memories and hope that there will be more in the future. As the writer CS Lewis said, “There are far, far better things ahead than any we leave behind.”
For those of you saying to yourselves “if only” — if only I had the time. If only I had the money. If only I had someone to go with. Boy, have I been there. I’ve been that person who “hasn’t had” for travel. You live, you learn – and I know for sure that traveling is well worth it.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things you didn’t do than by the ones you did do. So throw off the bowlines. Sail away from the safe harbour. Catch the trade winds in your sails. Explore. Dream. Discover.
– Mark Twain
Where to eat:
We didn’t stay long in Auckland much like Wellington, just enough time to walk around, grab a bite and get on our flight home.
Ponsonby Central: Found this great spot for good eats. A small alley-style street surrounded by restaurants, ice cream shops and even a mini-market. Love it!
Tokyo Club: Delicious and affordable. Located in Ponsonby. Keep the sashimi coming!
What to see:
When in doubt, hop-on, hop-off.
Where to stay:
Where to find coffee:
Eighthirty: One of the best.
Espresso Workshop: Great coffee by the harbour.
What to do:
Too short to tell!
