I have a hunch that most of you have taken least one vacation over the last three years. But how many of them have been around your own home?

Reflecting on this, I realize that there are so many places that I’ve yet to discover in my own backyard, inspiring me me to write about the staycation.

Now, don’t get me wrong – nothing compares to travelling the world and visiting far away places. With so many cities to see, it’s natural that we get excited about a trip to another country. However, is it possible that we take for granted the very places in which we live?

Last year, having found myself craving an experience, I decided to hop on a double decker.

This time though, I wasn’t in Europe. Or Australia. Or even the US.

I was in my hometown.

And I had a ton of fun.

So go ahead. Be a tourist in your own city. Go somewhere you’ve never been. You might be surprised what you’ll find.
